Dent lives in Auburn, AL, with his wife, Allie, their daughter, Emma Scott, and their black lab, Girl. The family is active members at Church of the Highlands in Auburn. Dent grew up in the small town of Monroeville, AL, just 20 miles from his family’s land in Beatrice. From an early age, he worked the land alongside his father, where his love for timber, farming, hunting, fishing, and the outdoors began. This passion has continued to grow over the years, inspiring him to hunt turkeys in all 49 states across the U.S. that have a huntable turkey population. In March 2024, he achieved his long-time goal of completing the U.S. Super Slam for wild turkeys. As a high school student, Dent dreamed of becoming a land sales agent. He assumed it was a career he wouldn’t be able to pursue until later in life. However, not long after graduating from Auburn University with a bachelor’s degree in Forestry, Dent had the opportunity to join the team at Southeastern Land Group. Since then, he has assisted numerous buyers and sellers with successful property transactions throughout Alabama and Georgia. From small lots and estate homes to large tracts of timberland and hunting properties—and everything in between—Dent works hard to get the deal done. He also has experience with commercial and residential development properties. As a forester and member of Southeastern Land Group’s Timber Sales Division, Dent is able to help clients manage their timber assets, as well as assist with final timber harvests and thinnings. He understands that harvesting timber, as well as buying or selling property, are major decisions that most people will make only once or twice in their lifetime. Because of this, he works hard to ensure that his clients get the best possible value when it's time to make these important transactions. If you’re considering buying or selling property, Dent would love the opportunity to earn your business!
