Jonathan is passionate about helping people buy and sell land. He is a an associate broker with Southeastern Land Group, LLC (SELG) and is the Responsible Broker for the company in Mississippi. Jonathan is an Accredited Land Consultant (ALC), working with Southeastern Land Group (AlaLandCo) since 2008, serving Alabama and Mississippi. He is a member of the Alabama and Mississippi chapters of the Realtor’s Land Institute (RLI), and is a Past President of the Alabama RLI Chapter. He is Co-host of the weekly radio program, "The Land Show". Jonathan currently serves on the Board of Trustees for the Alabama Center for Real Estate (ACRE) representing the land industry across the state. Jonathan was named the 2018 Alabama Land Realtor of the Year. Jonathan serves both institutional and private landowners, and is experienced with: - 1031 like-kind exchanges (1031 is his favorite number!) - Self-directed IRA purchases - Timberland investments - Agricultural land - Recreational properties - Premier properties (Special features such as: Rivers, high-fence, National Forest) - Estate Transitions (Conflict resolution, relationship management) As one of SELG's top producers, he has helped his clients close scores of real estate deals, and as a result knows how to find ways to help buyers and sellers negotiate a win-win deal. Jonathan loves helping people buy and sell rural land. He credits this deep love of rural real estate to two things: the good people he meets who are buying or selling land and the quality team of agents that work with Southeastern Land Group. He believes it is truly a gift from God to wake up every day and do what you love with a team of people you really like. Jonathan specializes in marketing rural properties online, and is a contributor to Terra Firma Magazine the RLI blog, Rethink Rural, and Landthink.com, writing articles focused on helping people buying and selling rural land.
